Electoral Systems, t he set of rules
that transform t he citizens’ votes into
elected position s or seats, essential
rules of the Mexica n political system
as a whole. With regard to the fed eral
election this yea r, it is explained the
role of proportional representation as
the only way to ensur e representation of
minorities in de cision-making bodies of
our countr y. On the other hand economic
position is priv ileged to explain and
understand ou r social reality and
therefore, our polit ical system; since it is
considered that i n 2012 the nation will be
contested. This possible tran sformation
brings up aspect s likes the drawing
and the second roun d that would
revolutionize our Electoral Law.
