Today, federal courts and some local courts
in Mexico have implemented online trials that have increased
the attention of old and new cases, unfortunately, those online
trials have a lot of deciencies and this is still one of the main
challenges for the administration of justice in Mexico.

I. INTRODUCTION.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (“COVID-19”) is caused
by SARS-CoV-2, a newly emergent coronavirus,
that was rst recognized in Wuhan, China, in
December 2019.1

On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization
(WHO) characterized COVID-19 as pandemic.2 WHO
denes pandemic as the “worldwide spread of a new
disease”.3
