Android devices receive more cyber attacks.

Mexico, Nov. 6 (Notimex).- The 23 percent of reported cybersecurity incidents were aimed at harming devices with Android operating system, Fortinet reported.

The cybersecurity company said in a statement that the data was the result of research conducted by FortiGuard, the company's threat intelligence laboratory, which specified the Trojan Android / Agent.FJ! Tr, as the main malware that allows downloading malicious codes to the devices.

Such a mobile threat has become one of the most common ways to generate cybersecurity gaps in companies of all sizes, given that more than 80 percent of the sector allows the use of personal devices in their corporate networks, it said.

"Although the recent attacks on the financial system have had a lot of resonance in Mexico, there are other quieter security gaps to which we must pay attention," said Eduardo Zamora, CEO of Fortinet in Mexico.

By 2020, it is expected that 33 billion terminal points are connected and in such a scenario the manager mentions: "The exponential increase in connected devices presents new vulnerabilities and an increasing surface area of ??attack that hackers are exploiting."

FortiGuard details in the research report that criptoming attacks also maintain relevance in the country, with 8.27 percent of the total incidents, and specifies that the used malware presents...
