Al contestar el teléfono, escuchó una extraña respi-
ración del otro lado de la línea; Jesús comprendió
que esas llamadas serían sólo el principio. Esta-
ba seguro que se trataba de la respuesta del Estado
a su investigación sobre víctimas de violaciones de
derechos humanos por parte del ejército. No sólo
él recibió estos mensajes, también intervinieron
los teléfonos de sus familiares para advertirle que
debía parar.
Jesús answered the telephone and heard nothing
but weird breathing noises. He knew these phone
calls were just the beginning. Jesús was sure this
was the States response to his investigation into
victims of human rights violations by the army. Not
only did Jesús receive these messages, his relatives
were getting them too. This was a clear warning that
he should stop what he was doing.
